Our Pediatricians
Since 1977, Southern Orange County Pediatric Associates (SOCPA) has been caring for infants, children, and young adults throughout South Orange County. With offices in Ladera Ranch, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, and Irvine, we’ve grown alongside the families we serve while continuing to expand the care and services we provide.
Our board-certified pediatricians care for children from their first newborn visit up to age 21. In addition to comprehensive pediatric care, we offer services designed to support families every step of the way, including prenatal consultations, a Travel Health Specialist, no-charge phone nurse advice, and after-hours care at our Ladera Ranch office.

Practicing at SOCPA since 2001, he provides comprehensive, family-centered care for infants, children and teens. Dr. Chu is particularly passionate about teaching and guiding patients and families, preventing illness and injury, and building relationships that last throughout a child’s entire childhood. As a member of the Rady Children’s Health Primary Care Network, he is part of a nationally recognized pediatric health system to deliver coordinated care and streamline access to specialty care and additional services when necessary. Outside the office, Dr. Chu enjoys family time with his wife, Heather, and their two children, walking/running with his dog, hiking with his wife and kids, swimming laps, and working out on his own or with his family. I am lucky and blessed to help take care of kids and their families. It is so very rewarding to be able to watch different patients grow and change throughout their childhood, to help teach and guide patients/families, and to treat and prevent illness and injuries. Dr. Tanwar-Ahuja is particularly passionate about preventative medicine, building connections and trust with families, and caring for children through both illness and wellness. As a member of the Rady Children’s Health Primary Care Network, she is part of a nationally recognized pediatric health system to deliver coordinated care and streamline access to specialty care and additional services when necessary.
Dr. Tanwar-Ahuja is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and holds a Ph.D. in Cancer Biology, reflecting her deep commitment to evidence-based medicine. She speaks Hindi and medical Spanish.
A resident of South Orange County, she is a proud mother of four and has a passion for caring her children in her community. Outside the office, she enjoys both performing and teaching Indian dance, reading, exercising, and watching football with her family.

Practicing at SOCPA since 2012, she provides comprehensive, family-centered care for infants, children and teens.
Dr. Williamson is passionate about preventive care and empowering children and teens to learn about their bodies and how to take care of them lifelong. As an athlete, she loves talking with kids about how healthy minds and healthy bodies start with nutrition, hydration, sleep, and exercise.
As a member of the Rady Children’s Health Primary Care Network, she is part of a nationally recognized pediatric health system to deliver coordinated care and streamline access to specialty care and additional services when necessary.
Dr. Williamson is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and California Medical Association (CMA). She was president of the AAP Orange County chapter during the pandemic helping to lead pediatricians through caring for their patients, and partnered with schools, hospitals, and the public health department. She received the Pediatrician of the Year Award in 2022, and Young Physician of the Year Award in 2016 for her services to the community.

Outside the office, Dr. Williamson loves to unplug and be outdoors and moving as much as possible. Rock climbing, running, cycling, and swimming are her favorite activities.
